Official Institutional Statement

Fourteen Years of Institutional Commitment

26 July 2012 — 26 July 2026

Today, the Roma Capitale Investments Foundation marks the fourteenth anniversary of its establishment.

Founded on 26 July 2012, the Foundation was created with a clear purpose: to foster institutional cooperation, promote strategic investment and encourage sustainable development through dialogue among public institutions, academia, research organisations, enterprises and international partners.

Over the past fourteen years, this vision has guided every stage of the Foundation’s journey. Through institutional partnerships, strategic initiatives and international cooperation, RCIF has contributed to strengthening Rome’s role as a platform for innovation, investment and sustainable development.

This anniversary is more than the commemoration of a date. It is an opportunity to reaffirm the principles that have guided the Foundation since its establishment: institutional independence, cooperation, responsibility, public interest and a long-term vision.

As the Foundation looks ahead, it renews its commitment to building trusted partnerships, supporting strategic initiatives and promoting sustainable economic, social and cultural development through dialogue, innovation and international cooperation.

Who We Are

An independent international foundation connecting institutions, capital and long-term vision for the future of Rome.

We exist to strengthen the institutional and economic foundations of the Capital — not through speed, but through permanence.

Our role is to bring together public authorities, investors and international partners around shared, long-horizon objectives.

We believe that capital, guided by institutional purpose, can build the conditions for enduring prosperity.

Why RCIF Exists

Trust, Governance and Long-Term Cooperation Between Institutions

Roma Capitale Investments Foundation (RCIF) is an independent international foundation established in Rome in 2012. The Foundation exists to build trust, create governance and connect qualified institutions — so that complex international initiatives can become reality. RCIF brings together governments, institutions, universities, corporations, investors and partners through relationships built on credibility, discretion and permanence. The Foundation does not seek business. It creates the conditions under which business can take place between credible institutions.

Institutional Principles

The Ordering of Principles That Defines the Foundation

The Foundation exists to build trust, create governance and connect qualified institutions. Before any agreement is signed, before any capital is committed, before any initiative begins, the Foundation establishes the relationships, the standards and the frameworks that allow cooperation to endure. Trust before business. Reputation before visibility. People before projects. Governance before investment. This ordering of principles is the Foundation’s reason for being.

"Trust before business. Reputation before visibility. People before projects. Governance before investment. This ordering of principles is not a slogan — it is the reason the Foundation exists."
